What is Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis?

Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis, or RRP.  This is a disease of the respiratory tract. It is also known as Laryngeal Papillomatosis. The virus causes tumor-like lesions to grow on the larynx and, in some cases, in the trachea and lungs.   There is no cure for RRP only surgical removal of the tumors.  If left untreated, the lesions may grow and cause suffocation and death.
